Celebrating Cinema from Here and Elsewhere

Ciné-Cinema is a committee of Huntingdon’s Little Green Library that brings audiences a selection of films from Quebec and around the world—works chosen for their cultural richness and their power to spark thought and conversation.

Run entirely by volunteers, Ciné-Cinema’s mission is to make films from a wide range of cultures accessible to everyone. Each screening is more than just a film showing: it’s an opportunity for people of all ages, languages, and backgrounds to come together, connect, and share ideas.

For the community of Haut-Saint-Laurent, Ciné-Cinema provides an affordable gateway to meaningful, alternative cinema. In a region where the nearest option is a commercial movie theatre 20 kilometers away, Ciné-Cinema stands out as a welcoming, inclusive cultural space that enriches local life.
